Now you can connect your general aviation headset to your cellular phone with SafetyCell! SafetyCell is a device that enables pilots to connect a cellular telephone to any standard aircraft headset. SafetyCell allows the pilot to hear cell phone calls and radio transmissions at the same time. Incoming and outgoing phone calls and radio transmissions can be heard and answered through the headset speakers and microphone. When a phone call comes in, the pilot can hear it ringing through the headset.
It's made of durable plastic and is small enough to fit in the corner of your flight bag. It is compatible with any cellular telephone that accepts a hands free system (i.e. has a 2.5mm jack on the phone). Adapters are available for other cell phones too!

With the SafteyCell you'll be able to:
- Call home to let your family know you've reached your destination safely.
- Call your client and tell him you've arrived for the meeting, while the engine's still running!
- Close your flight plan quickly and easily, before you ever leave the aircraft.
- Get your IFR Clearance at uncontrolled fields.
- Contact an FBO or Rental Car Agency that can't be reached by radio.
- Attach your personal stereo into the auxiliary jack of the unit, and you'll be able to listen to your favorite tunes - without a costly intercom and stereo system in your aircraft.
- Plug a tape recorder (with a 2.5mm jack) into the cellular phone portion of the unit, and you now have a cockpit voice recorder.
TECH SPECS
Note: The FCC does not allow the use of a cell phone in an airplane while in flight. Current regulations allow cell phone use in the cockpit while the plane is on the ground.
